Didn’t tell anyone about the harassment for 15 years,Ayesha Umar

Pakistan’s famous actress Ayesha Umar has once again talked about being a victim of sexual harassment, saying that she had not told anyone about it for 15 years.

Then in April 2018, Ayesha Omar also revealed sexual harassment but did not give any details in this regard.

Later, in an interview in January this year, Ayesha Umar revealed that she had been sexually harassed several times in the Pakistani industry.

Now, during a live session on Instagram with actress and director Rose McGowan, Ayesha Umar once again spoke about sexual harassment.

Rose McGowan revealed this in 2017, after 20 years of harassment by Harvey Winston, and in this live session she discusses her struggle after the Me Too campaign.

Talking to Ayesha Umar, Rose McGowan revealed how she finally gathered the strength to talk to herself about what happened.

“My voice was always there, just no one was listening,” said Rose McGowan. “I was waiting for society to be ready for it. I needed Trump.”

“Hillary Clinton protected Harvey Winston, I needed Trump to show people that this is racism, sexism, and that’s what ugliness really looks like,” Rose McGowan said.

As a survivor against the world, he also talked about going through this ordeal alone.

“I had no friends, no groups of women to help me, nothing,” said Rose McGowan.

However, she was confident that the perpetrator should be the only one to be blamed.

“I was never embarrassed,” he said. “I often waited for someone to meet me one day, to make a difference in the way things were done, but then I thought no, that person.” I will be myself During the Instagram live session, Ayesha Omar spoke about how fear and shame prevail for women in Pakistani society in such a situation.

“We are not allowed to be angry,” she added.

During the live session, the two actresses also discussed how women are usually accused of sexually assaulting them sometimes through clothing and sometimes through something else.

“The Me Too campaign has mobilized people around the world, it’s a communication tool to say I know your pain,” said Rose McGowan.

Shortly afterwards, Ayesha Umar told the story of her sexual assault.

Ayesha Umar said that I was 23 years old and entered the industry when a man twice my age did it and this process continued for years.

The actress added that it was not a one-time incident and did not want any action on it, I locked it in a box like that and said well it is happening in my life and I have to deal with it.

Ayesha Omar said that she did not want to share this with anyone and let her stay there for 15 years without telling anyone and finally I talked to someone about it 2 years ago.

“A friend of mine from the industry also told his story and the TV channels started blocking me and asking, ‘What do you think she is telling the truth?’

“I replied that I would trust any victim,” she said.

The actress added that she asked me if there was sexual harassment in the industry and this was the first time I had said yes.

Ayesha Omar said that she had asked me if this had happened to you and I said yes and I will talk about it one day but not today.

“I did not name the monster but I have started talking about it,” she said.

Rose McGowan also described how her own activism began before the Harvey Winston incident.

“I want men and women to see each other not just as gender but as human beings,”she said.
