Chinese hackers try to steal code-19 vaccine research, US

The U.S. Department of Justice says two Chinese nationals attempted to steal research and materials on code-19 vaccines made by hundreds of companies in the United States and other countries.

National Security Assistant Attorney General John Demmers said Li Xiaoyu, 34, and Dong Jiaji, 33, also targeted human rights activists in the United States, China and Hong Kong.

He said the hackers were present in China and far from US law and that they worked for their own benefit and the interests of the Chinese Ministry of State Security.

FBI Deputy Director David Boudich said: “Cybercrime instructions from China’s state intelligence service are a threat not only to the United States but also to any country that violates transparency, global values and the rule of law.” Is supportive ‘.

U.S. Attorney William Heiszloop said hackers targeted companies around the world.

“The computer systems of many businesses, individuals and agencies across the United States and around the world have been hacked,” he said.

“Sensitive and valuable business secrets, technology, documentary and personal information are being stolen,” he said.

The Justice Department said the victims of the hacking included “hundreds of companies, governmental and non-governmental organizations, personalities, religious leaders, Democrats and human rights activists in the United States.”

The statement said that in addition to the United States, “human rights leaders in Hong Kong and China have also been targeted by hackers.”

Last week, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom claimed that a group of hackers working for Russian intelligence had gained access to the systems of pharmaceutical companies and research institutes around the world to steal information about the corona vaccine. Tried

The UK’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) claimed in a July 16 statement that a group of hackers trying to steal Corona vaccine and treatment information from several countries was working for Russia’s secret service.

A joint statement from the three countries stated that the group of hackers was working for the Russian intelligence service.

The statement claimed that the group of hackers had gained access to information collected from patients in various institutions in the United States, Japan, China and Africa over the past year.

The Russian government has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once.

The allegations by Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom did not specify whether Russian hackers stole any information about the Corona vaccine, but did say that the hackers tried to steal the information.

The report, released by cybersecurity experts in the three countries, said that a group of Russian hackers initially reviewed the content by sending an e-mail to the data systems of corona disease and vaccine research institutes.

He said that later hackers use more techniques to scan the contents of the data system and steal the data by uploading it through another email.

It may be recalled that the US and British intelligence agencies had warned in May this year that the intelligence agencies of many countries of the world have mobilized to steal information about the Corona vaccine.

The US intelligence agencies had said that a secret cyber spy war has started in the world to steal information about the corona virus vaccine and every country is trying to somehow take the lead in this war.

Around 100 biotech companies and pharmaceutical companies around the world are currently developing vaccines for corona virus, and so far American and British companies have had good success in this regard.

Pharmaceutical companies and biotech companies from dozens of countries, including the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, Canada and Israel, are vying for the vaccine against coronavirus, and the World Health Organization believes that The corona vaccine will be available in the world by September this year, but it is too early to say.
