Vietnam has begun to soften its measures of mobility and social distance, and daily life has gradually returned to normal.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc announced on Wednesday that no province in the country appears to be more affected by the epidemic, but some businesses will remain closed.

The country, with a population of 95 million, has managed to control the corona virus so successfully that not a single death has been reported from the disease, while the total number of cases is only 268.
The developing country has been as successful in controlling the virus as its rich neighbors, such as South Korea and Taiwan, and this is impressive because Vietnam is also China’s neighbor.
Vietnam’s effective response to the new novel corona virus was, in fact, pre-existing as a result of epidemics such as SARS and swine flu.
The Vietnam strategy focused on a combination of targeting, contact tracing and testing, and prevented it from spreading to a small number of people.
The first case was reported in January in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, and the first international case outside China, prompting the government to take action.

In February, more than 10,000 people from the northern province were quarantined where the infection appeared to be spreading.
Vietnam initially decided to quarantine people from high-risk areas for 14 days, and all educational institutions across the country have been closed since early February.
In March, no new cases were reported in Vietnam for 22 days, but then new cases were reported on a flight from London, after which all passengers were tracked and kept in isolation, while visas for the UK and several European countries were issued. Suspended free entry, later sealed borders.
A massive public awareness campaign was launched in Vietnam in which a hand washing song went viral.
