This is not the first time that Shahid Afridi has raised his voice in favor of occupied Kashmir and the Kashmiri people, but he has already raised his voice for the right of Kashmiris to self-determination.

On August 5 last year, Shahid Afridi strongly condemned India’s move to abolish special status for occupied Kashmir, saying that Kashmiris should be given their due rights under UN resolutions, like all of us. They should have the right to freedom.

The former captain had asked why the UN was finally formed and why it was sleeping. The ongoing unprovoked aggression and crimes against humanity in Kashmir should be taken note of and US President Donald Trump should play the role of mediator in this regard
