SRINAGAR: Indian Army personnel have been attacked during a search operation in Pulwama district of Occupied Kashmir, leaving two personnel seriously injured.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the occupying Indian troops in Pulwama district closed the entry and exit routes and conducted a search operation during which unknown assailants stormed an Indian Army vehicle.
The Indian Army also returned fire, but two soldiers were seriously injured in the attack, after which more troops were called. The injured personnel have been shifted to a nearby military hospital where the condition of one of the injured is said to be critical.
More Indian troops have cordoned off the area and the search operation is still ongoing. The identities of the injured personnel have not been revealed.
It is to be noted that a few days ago, an Indian Army vehicle passed through a landmine which exploded and two officers including a major were seriously injured, one of whom died the next day while undergoing treatment.
