WASHINGTON: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says she is ashamed of the way the United States has fled Afghanistan.
“Whatever your views on the ongoing war in Afghanistan, we all agree on one thing, and that is that the end of the Afghan war should not be like this,” Hollywood star Angelina Jolie wrote in an editorial for Time magazine. After so many years of carnage, sacrifices and struggles, the United States has failed to transfer power in an orderly manner. It has never been easier, but the transfer of power could have been done in a much better and safer way. ۔
Angelina Jolie said that the way the United States left Afghanistan, I am ashamed as an American citizen and in this way the withdrawal has further diminished our importance. she said that after so many years, the United States had left its allies in a state of chaos which could not be deceived and understood.
The 46-year-old actress said that now she has lost the opportunity to influence what is happening in Afghanistan, we do not have any strategy to support and monitor the women there, including Afghan civil society. The US withdrawal will create a new resettlement crisis for Afghan refugees.
