Although born in Somalia, Halima Aden was forced to flee her homeland during the civil war and lived in a refugee camp in neighboring Kenya for a few years.

She later moved to the United States, where she competed in a Minnesota beauty pageant with a hijab.

She gained worldwide fame by wearing a full Islamic dress in the beauty bikini competition and later started her modeling career with hijab.

She is one of the world’s most famous models modeling with hijab. In April 2019, she was featured on the cover of the Arabic language issue of the popular fashion magazine Vogue along with two other hijab models.

Halima Aden always wore full dress instead of tight or short dress according to her religious beliefs and she appeared with hijab in every fashion show.

She even wore a hijab when promoting underwear brands, and she revealed in an interview last year that Muslim models also send her sarcastic messages all the time wearing a hijab and full-body clothing. ۔

Just two days ago, after spending a few years in the glamor of fashion and modeling semi-nude and showbiz, Halima Aden in her series of tweets said goodbye to the colorful and artificial world and announced to live according to Islam.

Halima Aden said in her tweets that it took her a long time to wake up, but now she is awake and she has found the real Halima Aden full of faith.

She apologized to people for doing fashion and modeling in the past and said that she would now live according to the teachings of Islam for the sake of peace of mind and the real purpose of life.

She made it clear in a series of tweets that although she was of black descent and a minority, she had never faced any form of sexual harassment and was modeling for her beliefs and religious teachings.
