Leading Pakistani actor and singer Ali Zafar and singer Aima Baig have released a new song for fans on the occasion of the New Year.
Fans have been given a New Year’s gift by releasing a New Year’s song by both the artists.
It may be recalled that in a tweet released on social networking site Twitter a few days back, Ali Zafar had released a teaser of ‘We Mahiya’ in which he was present with singer Aima Baig.
The video showed Ali Zafar and Aima Baig meeting and scattering in the snow-capped mountains.
At the same time, the teaser includes the voice of Ali Zafar in which he was saying, ‘Hearts are broken in the courts of love, lovers return to the embers of the snow, I have heard that by searching, God is also found, maybe Let’s meet you one day in the broken stars.
In their posts, Ali Zafar and Aima Baig had said that ‘We Mahiya’ will be released on the occasion of New Year on January 1, 2021 and they released this song this evening.
Way Mahiya begins with Ali Zafar’s words in which he is seen sitting sadly in the snow-capped mountains.
Ali Zafar and Aima Baig’s first duet song was directed by Adnan Qazi while its poetry was composed by Hassan Badshah.
Singer Ali Zafar shared a video of his song in a post on Instagram and said, “This is a tribute from me to all the lovers who nurture each other despite all the difficulties.”
On the other hand, Aima Baig also released a video of her song in a post on her Instagram account.
The duo’s new song is being loved by fans and its YouTube video can be viewed more than 68,000 times in just 2 hours.
This romantic song by Ali Zafar and Aima Baig has been shot in the northern areas of Pakistan where hundreds of mountains are covered with a blanket of white snow.
Talking to Dawn News about the shooting of this song, Ali Zafar said, “Adnan Kazmi does a lot of creative work. I am very happy to work with him.”
He said that the presence of natural scenes in the song is a reflection of the director’s creativity and love for his beautiful scenery.
On the other hand, regarding the song, Aima Baig said that the song was shot in a very beautiful place and it was very cold there.
He also praised the singing team and director’s abilities with Ali Zafar.
