In the suburban town of Rabbit Hash, Wilbur Best, a French bull dog, was elected mayor with 13,143 votes.
According to the Courier Journal, residents of a small American town in northern Kentucky have chosen a dog for the mayor of their area. In this unique election for mayor, 22,985 votes were cast, which is the highest turnout ever.

Amy Noland, a spokeswoman for newly elected Mayor Wilbur Best and her philanthropist, told Fox News that “we are both very happy with this victory and thank our supporters for making it impossible.”

Wilbur Best is not the first dog to serve as mayor in the town, but only dogs have been elected mayor since the 1990s. This year, Wilbur Best defeated the recovered dog, Pitbull, and the former mayor-elect, Bryant Poultro, in 2017.
