MOSCOW: A woman who was pronounced dead by doctors after an operation in Russia has resurrected in a morgue, causing panic among staff at the morgue.
According to the international news agency, an 81-year-old woman in the Russian city of Rusk was brought to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, where she underwent bowel surgery, but the woman did not regain consciousness after the operation. Doctors pronounced the woman dead.
The woman was taken by her family from the hospital to the morgue, where two hours later, she suddenly opened her eyes and called for help from the morgue staff. Frightened, the staff fled and informed the family.
The woman’s niece Tatiana Koliko has hinted at legal action against the hospital management. According to the niece, her aunt does not remember anything about the operation but she has identified her niece.
