KABUL: A suicide bomber rammed a truck loaded with explosives into a National Army commando compound in Afghanistan, killing four people and wounding 43 others.
According to the International News Agency, a suicide bomber blew up a truck loaded with explosives at the main entrance of the Afghan National Army Commando compound in Balkh Province. The blast was so severe that all nearby buildings shook and vehicle windows Broke down
The blast killed two security commandos stationed at the main gate on the spot while the bodies of two others were also brought to the hospital who could not be identified while 43 injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital out of which 6 are in critical condition. Is being described as critical.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, according to Afghan media. A peace deal between the United States and the Afghan Taliban has resulted in the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners and inter-Afghan talks are set to begin soon.
