Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Indian Army martyred four youths while demonstrating state terrorism, as a result of which the number of martyrs has risen to nine in two days.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Army conducted an operation in Shopian district, conducting house-to-house searches and desecrating the chador and four walls, while internet and mobile services were also suspended in the area.
Occupying forces detained 4 innocent youths during the operation and declared them terrorists and shot them dead. Earlier, three Indian soldiers were seriously injured in a clash in the same area and their condition is said to be critical.
The Indian Army had also martyred 5 youths in Zainpura area of Shopian district yesterday. The number of Kashmiri youths martyred during the so-called search operation in the occupied valley this month has risen to 27.
In addition, an Indian Army officer committed suicide in Pulwama district. Sub-Inspector Ashok Kumar, 58, was posted in Khario area of Pulwama.
The number of Indian security personnel who have committed suicide in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 has risen to 453. There are various reasons for these suicides, including stress and the abusive behavior of superiors.
